Burning it Off, What Does it Take?
We've all been there. You walk into your favorite café or bakery and there they are - those delicious chocolate covered donuts that you love so much. Perhaps you ogle the dessert tray with its rich, decadent tarte and crispy, yet sweet peach pie. Or maybe it's the smell of fried chicken that makes your mouth water. Whatever it is that causes your knees to tremble with weakness, we've all been there and we know it can be hard to resist the urge to say "just this once
." And, if you're like many, "just this once" turns into once a week or sometimes even once a day - which can really put a dent in your weight loss efforts.
Here's something that may make you think twice about gobbling up that chocolate donut and may give you the strength you need to walk past your favorite delectable treat. Have you ever thought about how much time it would take to "burn off" your favorite sinful treat. If not, here's some food for thought.

So the next time you are tempted by your favorite treat, think about the amount of time you would have to spend "burning it off." Ask yourself if you are really hungry or if you're tempted by the taste rather than the actual need for food. If you're not willing to go to the extra mile to work it off, chances are it's not worth it. Good taste, like fame, is fleeting. And after you've eaten your favorite treat, all you're left with is extra calories and thoughts of how you're going to "burn it off."
