COURIC: And what did Cyber Dieting do? How did that change--by the way, you look fantastic. You lost how many pounds?
Ms. RAINWATER: I've lost 32 pounds. I kept it off -- Its been off for 7 months.

Ms. RAINWATER: First of all, it's convenient. I didn't have to go anywhere. I didn't have to sit through a meeting. I didn't have to get on a scale in front of other people. I could, you know, weigh myself in my own bathroom scale and log on, and it was easy. I just did CaloriesCount.com. I entered my food in a food diary every single day. I could tell calorie content at the end of the day. I printed out grocery lists, I printed out weekly menus. So it was so convenient and easy.
COURIC: How did you find the Web site that was best suited to your needs? There are so many.
Ms. RAINWATER: I got on-line looking for a weight loss program, something more that I could do. I didn't realize there was on-line dieting. I started to search through and thought I need something that's not a diet, because for me diets have a beginning and an end.
COURIC: It's more of a lifestyle change?
Ms. RAINWATER: Yes, it has to be a lifestyle change. So then I found the one called CaloriesCount.com and their whole premise is healthy eating and exercise for life. So I knew it was going to be a lifestyle change.
COURIC: What about being anonymous? Did that appeal to you?
Ms. RAINWATER: Yes, very much. I had tried several other weight loss programs and I was never comfortable getting on a scale in front of other people. Even if they were all in the same situation that I was in. I was never comfortable. So I liked being anonymous. And I found being anonymous made me more accountable. Oh yes. But I think it was because if I knew I had a bad week, I wouldn't go to a meeting. I would skip a meeting. So, I wouldn't be in front of all those people and see I didn't lose any weight. So I was actually more accountable.
COURIC: People that are listening to you are going to think, how did she do it, obviously this was a good method, but in terms of your food choices and exercise decisions, tell us quickly, what's the key to your success?
Ms. RAINWATER: Good food choices. Having the tools at CaloriesCount.com to help me and exercise. I did a lot of exercise.
